Job Details – PICU RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Boston, MA 02115 – Premier destination for Massachusetts nursing jobs with access to top hospitals, parks, museums, and waterfront attractions.
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Medical/Surgical ICU (PICU/PCCU)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN contract)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/28/2025 – End: 12/28/2025)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (Day: 07:00–19:00 / Night: 19:00–07:00); 50/50 day/night rotation; straight nights or days available; weekend coverage required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360–$2420 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking: Discounted off-site parking with shuttle service; free parking for night shift nurses

PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Active, permanent Registered Nurse license (RN) – Massachusetts or compact state
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – current and valid
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to other ICU units as needed
• 2 professional references from 2 of the last 3 healthcare employers (different facilities)
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate

PICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to other intensive care units (ICUs) as needed to support hospital operations
• Participate in weekend rotations and maintain flexibility with day and night shifts
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
