- Coordinate and manage due diligence, including review of title, survey, zoning, and related documents
- Assist with drafting and reviewing real estate transaction documents such as deeds, leases, purchase agreements, and easements
- Support all phases of real estate closings, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
- Prepare and manage closing checklists, signature page packets, and document distribution
- Oversee recording requirements and filings with appropriate registries and courts
- Prepare closing binders and organize final transaction documentation
- Draft and file UCC financing statements and related filings
- Order, review, and summarize UCC, lien, and litigation searches
- Assist with entity formation documents and related filings
- Support foreclosure processes, including preparation and attendance at sales when needed
- Conduct factual research, compile findings, and assist with reporting
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other external parties
- Organize, review, and summarize large volumes of documents
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and providing timely updates
- Accurately track and record billable time, 1600 billable hour requirement annually
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant paralegal experience, preferably in real estate transactions
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate required
- Active Notary Public of Commonwealth of MA license strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of real estate transaction processes, including closings and filings
- Experience with UCC filings, title and lien searches, and due diligence review
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with legal and document management systems such as iManage or similar platforms
