This Plant Specialist role at River's Edge Garden Center is a seasonal position, from April through June each year. The ideal candidate enjoys lots of time outside (rain or shine in a wide range of temperatures), has a baseline knowledge about plants & gardening, loves to meet new people, and is looking to work 3-4 full days each week.

Projects & duties include:

· Organizing inventory

· Receiving plant deliveries

· Stocking greengoods and other products

· Customer relationship building

· General sales

· Answering customer questions, or providing a warm handoff to someone who knows the answer

· Watering plants

· Tidying the grounds

River's Edge was founded by the Porter family in 1958 as a small florist, and has since evolved into a seasonal garden center with the largest selection of annual & perennial flowers, herbs, veggies, ornamental shrubs & trees, and growing supplies. We grow a lot of what we sell, and also buy from quality local growers. We pride ourselves on having the best quality plants, the best employees, and the best customers.
