School-Based 1:1 LPN - ESY Summer Program

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Chelsea, MA that is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based 1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a student during the Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Program . This is a great short-term opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an early learning environment.

Position Details

• Location: Chelsea, MA

• Pay Rate: Up to $45.00/hour , based on experience

• Start Date: July 6, 2026

• Duration: 5-week ESY program

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 16 hours per week

Position Overview

The LPN will provide 1:1 nursing support for a student attending the Early Learning Center ESY program. The student has a diabetes diagnosis and is likely developmentally delayed, with ongoing evaluations in progress. This role is essential in supporting the student's health, safety, and ability to remain engaged in the classroom throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a diabetic student

• Monitor blood glucose levels and manage the student's insulin pump

• Support and monitor feeding and mealtime assistance as needed

• Ensure the student is able to remain in class as much as possible

• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

• Follow all school health plans and medical protocols

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required

• Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred

• Comfort caring for students with diabetes and developmental needs

• Ability to work independently in a 1:1 support role

• This position is LPN-only
