Commercial Real Estate Accountant – $50.00 per hour – Hybrid

We’re seeking a Commercial Real Estate Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and daily accounting operations across a Cambridge-based real estate portfolio valued at $4 billion. You’ll play a key role in supporting asset performance analysis while working closely with the Asset Management team. The hybrid setup (2 in-office days weekly) offers the flexibility you want, while the scale of the portfolio offers the experience you need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee budgeting for multiple commercial real estate assets
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage tenant account reconciliations and track property-level investment returns
• Identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with asset managers and real estate teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting
• Hands-on experience with Yardi or Buildium (property accounting platforms)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to RealPage software
• Advanced Excel or spreadsheet modeling
• Experience with investment reporting or performance analytics
