About the Job
The Event Rental Consultant in the Tent Division is an end-to-end sales specialist who guides clients from the initial lead to the final close. The Event Rental Consultant collaborates with cross-functional teams (like operations and warehouse) to ensure smooth event installations while driving revenue and fostering long-term client relationships. The Event Rental Consultant plays a key role in the tent department, is based in the Woburn office, and is responsible for $1-1.5 million in revenue annually.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver elite client service by responding to incoming inquiries within one business day
- Provide warm, hospitable phone consultations to build immediate rapport and craft accurate quotes for tent and event needs
- Serve as the premier tenting expert, guiding clients through product selection, order evolution, and design solutions
- Master proprietary software to orchestrate seamless delivery, return logistics, labor pricing, and billing schedules
- Maintain project integrity by verifying order details, managing revisions, securing event deposits, and collecting final payments
- Collaborate and grow by participating in weekly collaborative sales meetings
- Proactively maintain and expand strategic accounts
- Conduct inspiring on-site visits to analyze venue spaces, partnering with our general equipment teams for flawless execution
- Champion creative problem-solving to resolve inventory challenges and optimize rental availability
What You Bring
Required
- 1-3 years of experience in one of the following industries: Event Rental, Festival Production, Hospitality, Customer Service, or Sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work weekends when needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel to client sites
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Hospitality-related field
