Shipper Receiver
Location: Wilmington, MA
Salary: $28-31/hour
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assemble, boxes, containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Update status of inbound and outbound orders in ERP system (S4Hana/SAP),
- Contact carrier representative to obtain quotes, make arrangements, and to follow shipping instructions for shipping and delivery of materials,
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks, etc.
- Coordinate packing and shipping of all goods, including assembling packages, weighing them, and reporting costs
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas or end user
- Order shipping supplies as required,
- Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area
- Perform general duties and assist production team and material handler as required
Qualifications:
- High School, Post-Secondary Education degree is preferred
- 5 years of shipping and receiving experience
- Extensive knowledge of major couriers – FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP system ( S4Hana/SAP ), and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is preferred
- Operate a fork lift truck
- High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment
- High attention to internal and external customer needs
- Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents is an asset
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50lb.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and assist production team when required
