A&M Tool & Design is seeking a full-time Production Coordinator to join our growing team in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership support role is ideal for someone who thrives in operations, scheduling, and team coordination while helping drive efficiency, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing and operations experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess strong attention to detail, adapt quickly, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist the Plant Manager with daily manufacturing operations and overall plant performance.
· Coordinate with department managers to improve systems, processes, and controls.
· Manage production schedules to meet or exceed on-time delivery goals and monthly sales forecasts.
· Monitor daily progress of manufacturing orders and adjust priorities as needed.
· Ensure travelers are issued, tracked, recorded, and filed properly.
· Maintain organized traveler filing systems and production records.
· Perform ERP/system transactions to report movement of materials through manufacturing and into finished goods.
· Coordinate outside processing requirements and customer shipments.
· Maintain detailed schedules for projects, deadlines, and key milestones.
· Communicate with customers regarding order status, scheduling updates, and delivery delays.
· Complete and distribute weekly customer delivery schedules.
· Run monthly and quarterly reports to support ISO quality data requirements.
· Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow, and customer satisfaction.
· Know and follow all A&M Tool & Design employee health and safety rules.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
· 3+ years of manufacturing, production scheduling, or operations management experience is a plus.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and production scheduling.
· Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools is a plus.
· Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and reporting tools is a plus.
· Experience in machining, manufacturing, or precision production environments is a strong plus.
