Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Worcester, MA, requiring a permanent MA RN license and the ability to read telemetry.

Details

• Emergency Department (ER) setting at an acute care hospital in Worcester, MA
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, with a base start time of 7:00 PM
• Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent department staffing needs (this occurs very rarely)
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, permanent MA RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify
• No prior disciplinary actions or restrictions on nursing license

Additional Information

• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams — a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam — each with only one attempt allowed; failure of either exam results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided prior to and during orientation to help candidates prepare for both exams
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the exam policy and experience requirements should be carefully considered
