Senior Director of Infrastructure Technology

The Senior Director of Infrastructure Technology shall be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and Governmental/accreditation regulations.
- Developing and contributing to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
- Establishing credibility throughout the organization including the senior management team, directors, managers, physicians and clinicians regarding information systems technology architectures by providing informed leadership and service.
- Collaborating with the CIO, VP of Applications/Deputy CIO, CRIO, CMIO, and CISO, supporting the overall organizational vision/direction/strategy and the IT Strategic Plan.
- Champion opportunities to engage operational partners for the most effective use of technology investments, both in design/implementation as well as ongoing use. Embracing Agile methodologies to harness partnerships between IT and operational partners to engage collaboratively and collectively.
- Assessing and communicating risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases.
- Developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives.
- Assisting with defining the requirements for new technology implementations and communicates them to key business and clinical stakeholders.
- Reviewing hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale and evolving technologies.
- Defining and communicates corporate procedures, policies, standards and best practice for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new and disrupting technologies.
- Approving, prioritizing, and controlling projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development and installation of major under pinning technology.
- Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department andhospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
- Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regard to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business/clinical processes and system alterations.
- Analyzing and improves upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market.
- Developing, tracking and controlling the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
- Supervising recruitment, development, retention and organization of all technical staff in accordance with BCH budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
- Ensuring continuous delivery of technical services through oversight of service level agreements with end-users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
In order to qualify you must have:
- A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with 7 years in a management capacity in a large, complex healthcare organization or vendor is required. Master's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to work on large-scale complex projects that includes multiple strategic goals and multiple tactical tasks.
- Knowledge of process management and organizational analysis and methodologies with a focus on implementing information system technologies in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, systems programming, servers/storage, and desktops.
- Extensive knowledge of information systems, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems including Epic, PACS, M365, ERP Solutions, and other applications in the healthcare market.
