This position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), established cleaning practices and procedures, and compliance with quality standards and regulations. The purpose of the sanitization program is to control microbial contamination and to serve as a corrective action for the loss of control for viable excursion contamination. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be followed and strictly enforced to ensure acceptable environmental monitoring results of the cleaned GMP environment. As a union staff member assigned to a location(s) of GMP Cleaners performing cleaning/sanitization, this position may require working non-standards shifts (swing) and/or on Saturday or Sunday. The GMP Cleaner may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime if required.Job Description
- Perform building level GMP cleaning.
- Administrative responsibilities include completing electronic cleaning log record keeping of cleaning procedures.
- Must be able to perform sanitization activities
- Maintain compliance with required training (SOP and Safety)
- Ensure GMP Cleaners adhere to SOP and sanitization practices
- Reviews cleaning log daily to ensure adhere to GDP
- Responsible the proper sanitization disinfectant rotation is followed and that the proper sanitization disinfectant is used for each assignment
- Responsible for completing required GMP documentation to ensure records are properly and accurately maintained
- Responsible for organization and upkeep of sanitization supply areas
- Responsible to participate in cycle counting and inventory of sanitization supplies and gowning articles to maintain inventory properly stocked for daily sanitization.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, GMP Operations Manager, and Quality teams to manage schedules necessary to sanitize the GMP controlled environment and support areas to comply with GMP requirements
- Participate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipment
- Understands and follows proper procedures with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to gown and wear proper PPE for majority of shift following client established gowning procedures.
- Empty, clean all waste receptacles and remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated area; damp wipe receptacles as necessary.
- Vacuum all floors utilizing cleanroom rated vacuum.
- Damp mop all floors using a variety of cleanroom disinfectants and utilizing cleanroom rated equipment following established cleanroom cleaning procedures.
- Wipe, clean all horizontal & vertical surfaces, to include doors, door frames, & entrance glass and partitions with IPA. (Excludes workstations & equipment)
- Pull tacky mats
- Clean under tacky mats
- Damp dust all ceiling air conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, register and other ventilating louvers.
- Properly clean floor services as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience on a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environment.
- English usage, spelling and punctuation
- Business computer applications
- Attention to detail is required
- Excellent attendance record
- Must follow work instructions
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Customer service and professional
- Self-starter, motivated, team player with the ability to prioritize work
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently and productively and to accept direction
- Highly organized and excellent record-keeping abilities
- Ability to frequently move and lift 50+ pounds
REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES
- No make-up, nail polish, and/or jewelry may be worn in the GMP process areas
- Majority of time spent in cleanroom, fully gowned including head covering, facemask, gloves, plant shoes, safety glasses/goggles and/or face shield
- Perform sanitization activities with ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $23.08 - $27.15
