Role Summary:
Xico Lighting is seeking a Production Manager to own hands-on daily execution on the factory floor. This role provides assembly technicians with consistent leadership, clear standards, immediate support, and measurable expectations.

The Production Manager is a shop-floor leader, focused on execution, presence, communication, and discipline. Time on the floor is prioritized over meetings, and success is measured by stability, consistency, and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a visible, hands-on presence on the factory floor throughout the shift.
• Lead daily production execution across assigned assembly lines.
• Communicate daily goals, priorities, and quality expectations clearly to technicians.
• Ensure start-of-shift readiness: staffing, tools, materials staged, and lines set up.
• Enforce standard work, housekeeping/5S, safety, and quality practices consistently.
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to technicians during production.
• Support rollout of new SOPs, systems, and quality requirements through hands-on, line-side training.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality and Engineering to reinforce standards and sustain improvements.
• Track, communicate, and review basic production KPIs (output, quality, readiness).
• Hold supervisors and line leads accountable for execution and fast issue escalation.
• Prioritize time on the factory floor; meetings are attended only when they directly support execution.
• Oversee overtime execution when required to meet production commitments.

Work Schedule Expectations:

• Factory-based, on-site presence before the 6:00am shift start.
• On-site through the end of the standard shift at 3:30pm.
• Hands-on oversight during overtime or extended production as required.

Compensation:

• Hourly position with overtime eligibility.
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
• Overtime paid in accordance with applicable labor regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Production leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Proven ability to lead technicians on the shop floor and enforce standards.
• Strong focus on execution, consistency, and good manufacturing practices.
• Comfortable providing direct feedback and maintaining clear expectations.
• Demonstrated preference for hands-on, floor-based leadership over meeting-heavy management styles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electronics or electromechanical assembly experience.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or daily management systems.
• Experience improving execution consistency and team performance in production settings.
