Location: Provincetown, MA – Seasonal High-Volume Restaurant
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Seasonal Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and understands what it takes to run a busy restaurant while delivering exceptional hospitality. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader, team builder and problem-solver who can effectively manage large teams while maintaining a positive, guest-focused atmosphere. This is a very active management role that requires the ability to move seamlessly between areas of the operation—including the dining room, bar, host stand, and kitchen—stepping in wherever needed to support the team, maintain smooth operations, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Lead the floor to ensure efficient service flow and operational excellence during all shifts
- Maintain high standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality
- Monitor restaurant performance and address operational challenges in real time
- Support scheduling and shift management
- Assist in managing reservations, seating flow, and guest satisfaction
- Help drive a positive and productive work environment
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, supervise, and motivate large front-of-house teams
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality
- Train, coach, and mentor staff to maintain high service standards
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees
- Conduct performance feedback and support team development
Guest Experience - Deliver Exceptional Hospitality
- Maintain a strong guest-first hospitality mindset
- Actively engage with guests to ensure exceptional service
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Lead the team to create an atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued
Hands-On Service Support – ( Great managers lead from the floor)
- Step into operational roles when needed including:
- Bar support
- Host stand
- Service floor
- Food running / expo
- Basic kitchen coordination
- Lead by example through active participation in service
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate clearly with staff, kitchen, and management teams
- Coordinate between departments to ensure seamless service
- Participate in daily briefings, shift meetings, and operational planning
Work Ethic & Flexibility
- Thrive in a high-energy seasonal environment
- Maintain flexibility to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Remain calm and solutions-oriented during peak service periods
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience
- Experience in high-volume or fast-paced restaurants strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage and motivate large teams
