#Role Summary

*This position supports the development, testing, implementation, and optimization of Artificial Intelligence tools and models for engineering applications. The role involves designing, analyzing, and improving AI algorithms, evaluating AI tools used for software development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance engineering capabilities. Responsibilities include integrating AI models into production environments, monitoring performance, and contributing to ongoing AI research and technology efforts.

#Education & Job Requirements

*You must have
* A Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 or more years of experience in a software engineering classification, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience in a software engineering classification.
* The ability to work fully onsite in Cambridge, MA.
* No relocation assistance.
* The ability to meet Export Control requirements as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.

#Preferred Skills

*You will have
* The willingness to use AI tools and technologies to accelerate software development and testing processes.
* Experience in C, C++, Python, or modern coding languages.
* Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, ADA, or avionics software.
* The ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced engineering and high-tech environments.
* Strong documentation and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
* Education or experience involving AI algorithms or the use of AI tools.

#Job Duties & Functions

*You will be able
* Design, develop, document, and implement Artificial Intelligence algorithms and models using appropriate methods and tools.
* Use existing AI tools to evaluate their effectiveness in code generation and their applicability to avionics software.
* Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to ensure data quality and identify patterns, trends, and insights.
* Test, document, and debug Artificial Intelligence models and software systems.
* Train, evaluate, and optimize the performance and capabilities of Artificial Intelligence models.
* Conduct Safety Risk Management processes for Artificial Intelligence models in accordance with organizational standards.
* Integrate and deploy scalable and efficient Artificial Intelligence models into production environments.
* Monitor, validate, and improve Artificial Intelligence models operating in production.
* Partner with cross-functional teams and domain experts to identify requirements, obtain feedback, and iterate on model designs.
* Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory considerations related to Artificial Intelligence engineering.
* Contribute to Artificial Intelligence Design Practices within the organization.
