South Shore Early Education and Care is a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing Early Education on the South Shore, Wareham, and Cape and Islands. South Shore Early Education and Care in Plymouth seeks a full-time Family Advocate, 30 hours per week, 41 weeks per year, all company benefits apply. Base hourly rate $24.58/hr. with BA/BS; rate higher with LICSW.

Core Duties : Experience working with families, including setting goals and objectives & familiarity with outside referral agencies. Experience with Head Start/ Early Head Start Performance Standards is preferred. Must be able to assist the families as they transition through the program to kindergarten. Must be able to adapt to referral process within the program, and work within the component. Demonstrated experience in licensed social work. If not LISW; can substitute demonstrated caseworker experience of more than five years instead. Familiarity and working knowledge with families with children 3 months- 5 years old, including home visits with the families. Travel within locations will be required.

Core Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Social Work, Human Services, or closely related field required. MA EEC Teacher Certification helpful. Licensed social worker preferred. May substitute demonstrated caseworker experience of at least 5 years for LICSW. Must have a driver license in good standing. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Bi-lingual in Portuguese, Arabic and Spanish preferred, although not required.Must be able to speak and understand English.

Minimum Requirements at employment:

· All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check prior to beginning employment.

· Valid MA state driver’s license.

· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
