Senior Test Technician
Job Title Senior Test Technician Pay $ 33 DOE Location - Somerville, MA Contract 2 months Title: Senior Materials Reliability Technician * Type of work o General mechanical testing, electrolyte (caustic chemical) immersion, and general measurement of plastic and rubber samples.
- Mark material coupons
- Drill holes in material coupons and prepare for environmental exposure
- Pour caustic electrolyte into plastic bottles, place material coupons into electrolyte, place into oven
- Remove material coupons from electrolyte and decontaminate following a Form Energy-internal decontamination procedure
- Measure material coupon dimensions with micrometer/calipers
- Measure material coupon mass with scale
- Perform tensile testing on material coupons
- Log data into pre-populated excel spreadsheet
- Maintain general lab cleanliness and keep in working order
