Med/Surg RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Newburyport, MA 01950 (Massachusetts travel nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Float Pool – Med/Surg & Telemetry
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
• Hours per Week: 36 (72 hours biweekly guaranteed)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a), every other weekend & holiday
• Self-scheduling: Yes, with schedule balancing
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2150 - $2300 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Experience floating between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Travel RNs only (no local candidates)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in both Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document nursing care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (5:1 days/evenings, 6:1 nights for Med/Surg; 4:1 days/evenings, 5:1 nights for Telemetry)
• Participate in self-scheduling and communicate special scheduling requests
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures
