Zwicker is presently seeking an IT Purchase Agent to join our team onsite in Andover, MA. The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 per year.

Responsibilities include

• Supplier Research and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms.
• Purchase Order Management: Process purchase orders, verify specifications, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Update purchase orders as shipments arrive and resolve any discrepancies.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to forecast purchasing needs and make informed decisions about procurement strategies
• Inventory Monitoring: Track inventory levels and determine purchasing needs to avoid shortages or overstock situations
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records of transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments. Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a purchasing agent with an I.T. focus
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Physical Qualifications

• Be able to lift five pounds or more
• Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
• Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
• Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
• Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
• Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
• Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
