Alumni Relations Coordinator

About METCO, Inc.

Founded in 1966, METCO is the largest voluntary school desegregation program in the United States and the Commonwealth’s only initiative designed to address long-standing racial and economic segregation in public schools. Following the passage of the Racial Imbalance Act, METCO provides opportunities for children from racially segregated schools in Boston and from isolated suburban schools to learn together in an integrated, high-quality public school setting.

As a critical asset in the collective effort to close the achievement gap in Massachusetts, METCO promotes educational equity, cultural understanding, and lifelong connection among its students and alumni.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a resourceful and relationship-driven professional who thrives on building authentic connections and fostering collaboration. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and strategic, with the ability to confidently engage alumni, parents, students, and community partners. They are a natural connector who brings creativity, professionalism, and initiative to developing engagement strategies, strengthening partnerships, and creating impactful programs that expand opportunities and deepen alumni pride.

A key focus of this role is expanding access to career and internship opportunities, helping alumni and students build professional pathways through partnerships and networking.
