Position: Food Runner
Reports to: General Manager
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables quickly and accurately.
- Ensure the presentation and quality of food meet the restaurant's high standards.
- Communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.
- Follows company policy in handling guest allergies/intolerances, ensuring guests receive "safe" meals.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests.
- Answer basic questions about the menu and ingredients if needed.
- Address guest needs and requests promptly.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Communicate any important information between the kitchen and serving staff.
- Assist in managing the flow of service during peak hours.
- Assist with pre-bussing tables to ensure a clean and organized dining area.
- Support the dining room attendants as needed to clear and reset tables.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the dining room and service areas.
- Assist servers with drink refills, bread service, and other guest needs.
- Restock service stations with necessary supplies.
- Perform side work duties as assigned by the manager.
- Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests smile and have a great time!
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant terminology is a plus.
