Montessori Elementary Teacher
Montessori Elementary Teacher (Quincy, MA) Full-Time Teach academic and
social skills to students at the elementary school level. Responsible for a classroom made up of 4th, 5th and 6th graders in all subject areas. Conducts classes according to standards set forth by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Applies professional knowledge of the developmental needs of elementary-aged children (ages 9-12). Performs all duties outlined in AMI Montessori elementary curriculum books. Instructs students in a variety of Montessori elementary curriculum content: Language arts; literacy circle and book club; Mathematics; statistics and geometry; History, civics and geography; Physical science, biology, botany, chemistry and physics; Music, art and dramatic arts; Participates in all activities connected with the classroom, specifically: Supervises and provides overview of the classroom during the school day; Conducts all classroom instruction, both individualized, in small groups and the entire class. Ensures that the AMI Montessori elementary curriculum fosters the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and ethical growth of all students enrolled in the program. Leads all student activities to meet each students developmental growth and progress. Prepares homework assignments. Edits and corrects each students work. \$78,000.00 per year.
