Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Job
PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) travel assignment in Peabody, Massachusetts. Start date 03/02/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,554–$1,644 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, five days per week. Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility rehab program. This is a Travel - Temporary Assignment. Key Highlights

- Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility rehab program Responsibilities
- Implement and modify treatment plans under PT supervision for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Assist with patient evaluations and re-evaluations as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
- Instruct and monitor residents during therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, ROM, and functional tasks to improve independence, including patient and family education on home exercise programs.
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices; ensure safety and fall prevention.
- Document patient progress, responses to therapy, and any changes to the plan; communicate with the PT and interdisciplinary team.
- Support discharge planning and coordinate with nursing and therapy staff as needed. Requirements
- Current PTA license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Availability for a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility rehabilitation setting with a geriatric population.
- Prior PTA clinical experience in rehab or SNF settings preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with PTs, nurses, and aides.
- Must be able to meet credentialing and onboarding requirements. Benefits and Support
