Stitcher, 1st Shift
The Stitcher is responsible for operating various sewing machines to assemble and stitch fabric in order to create Matouk’s beautiful and beloved collections of bed and bath linens.The stitcher will prepare equipment and materials, read and interpret work orders, and meet quality and production standards. The Stitcher will utilize differing models of sewing machines to optimize manufacturing techniques and quality standards.
Main Duties amp; Responsibilities:
Operate sewing machines of differing models.
Read/interpret work orders and document production data.
Prep various sewing machines with correct materials including thread and fabric.
Meet daily production and quality standards with a high attention to detail.
Backup coverage to support other key operational areas within the manufacturing floor as required by business needs.
Support continuous improvement activities and projects.
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to read and follow production work instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Must be able to differentiate between various shades, fabrics, fabric prints and colors.
Desire to work in a team-based environment.
Flexibility to move between various assignments as needed.
High attention to detail and ability to focus.
Basic experience with sewing machines is a plus.
Must be able to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with product/process trainings within specified and required timeframes.

The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
