Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Staff Accountant to serve as the financial backbone of our Haverhill office. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in accuracy, and enjoys being the person colleagues, customers, and vendors can count on. You will play a central role in keeping our day-to-day administration, finances, and customer relationships running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support physical inventory counts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, bank transfers, etc.)
• Work with purchasing to ensure PO/Receiver/Invoice matching accuracy
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and a consistently high standard of accuracy
• Proficient in using accounting software, preferably ECI JobBOSS
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
• Familiarity with technical accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to balance multiple priorities without losing track of details.
• Knowledge of cost accounting is a plus
