Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Hasbro's Analytics, Insights and Measurement (AIM) group is adding a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to their Global AIM Solutions team. The person will be responsible for the product planning and execution through the product lifecycle. While implementing the roadmap for Analytics within Hasbro, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will gather and prioritize data product requirements, define a product roadmap, and work closely with our IT partners and global stakeholders in order to help Hasbro’s brands achieve profitable growth. They will collaborate with internal and external visualization developers to realize global business solutions as well as support ad-hoc report development for the global stakeholder community. This is a hybrid role onsite in the Hasbro Pawtucket, RI office three days per week. A day in the life as a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer: Conduct requirements gathering sessions with the global partners; organize and document results into clearly articulated technical specifications documents. Develop technology systems that support organizational data and analytical needs. Solutions will include components like interactive dashboards, visualizations, data blending and transformation routines. Conduct analysis on Hasbro and external data sources. Leverage descriptive and exploratory techniques (tables, frequencies, visualizations), and statistical methods to help answer business questions. Lead Analytics projects from inception to completion. Projects may be small, one-time requests for analysis or modeling or may be large, ongoing programs to identify trends or track and monitor performance. Document unit test scripts for off-shore team, perform detailed user acceptance and post-unit testing, and record the results. Write up and communicate results to end users; acquire feedback regarding user experience. Work with internal partners and outside vendors to catalog, clean, and integrate data sources into Hasbro’s data model. Develop processes and tools to enable access to data for analytical purposes. Prepare relevant data visualizations and craft compelling, data-driven summaries of results for presentation to business partners (in partnership with the Business Intelligence team). Identify tools and vendor partners who can help the team drive business value for Hasbro. What you’ll bring: Strong project management capabilities, able to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize a variety of incoming requests. Demonstrated experience in sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing complex data sets that link data from a variety of sources. Experience with interviewing business to gather requirements, formulate and define system scope and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively with various levels within the organization (primarily across AIM). Education and Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Analytics, consulting, or a related data/quantitative field. B.S. in a quantitative field (e.g., comp sci, engineering, economics), advanced degree preferred. Significant experience and proficiency with BI and Data Visualization (Power BI preferred). Intermediate SQL skills, must be able to write queries as well as make data structure recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – experience collaborating with stakeholders and senior leaders. Proficiency with Excel and advanced Excel features a plus. Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python preferred). Experience managing resources. The base salary range for this position is $107,500.00 to $161,300.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
