Data Analyst - Non Profit

We are seeking to hire a full time (35 hours per week) Data Analyst to join our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team here in our offices in Fall River MA. The Data Analyst performs various operational data maintenance functions along with preparing routine and ad hoc data extractions, provides scheduled & ad-hoc reports, and analysis summaries. Additional responsibilities include delivering routine information/data for CQI as well as other programs and departments and assisting in the development of workflows and configurable forms for customized data entry. The starting hourly rate ranges from $30.21-$32.96 and the schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:- Assist leadership personnel to interpret, use and respond to data including Stakeholder Feedback, Outcome Data, Risk Management, and Utilization and Case Record Review findings ; and identifying opportunities for future quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist Director of CQI in gathering and reporting data relevant to the Agency’s Quality Management Plan and other Quality Improvement initiatives in keeping with the department’s established reporting calendar.
- Consult with program staff to determine and understand their reporting needs in order to design, write and test database queries, views and reports using various reporting designer tools.
- Handle specialized database and data manipulation projects and assist in data migration projects.
- Work with agency programs and assist Director of Information Technology in analyzing current workflows and forms for integration into agency electronic health record systems. Assist programs with the development or enhancement of existing workflows for electronic documentation in the EHRs.
- Assist with the advancement of clinical applications, interfaces, data migration and reporting of agency EHR software.
- Assist in the implementation and continued development of the agency’s data analytics platform.
- Participate as a member of the Agency Quality Council and Safety Committee.
- Document processes to allow for consistent approach to future initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
- Must have experience with SQL (Oracle SQL preferred)
- Experience with report writing
- Business intelligence and data analytics
- Experience with additional data extraction, manipulation and analysis tools such as: R, Python, MATLAB, Java, Scala or PERL is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational, verbal and communication skills and the ability to handle changing priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, train others and acquire new skills as needed.
- 2 years of experience with quality improvement activities for an agency or corporation preferred.
