Legal Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to attorneys and paralegals specializing in commercial litigation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment while ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. Responsibilities: - Manage client files and documents with precision, ensuring proper organization and accessibility. - Format, proofread, and edit legal documents to maintain accuracy and professionalism. - Handle online filings for federal and state cases, ensuring compliance with all regulations. - Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reimbursements for attorneys and paralegals. - Assist with timekeeping tasks and effectively utilize document management systems. - Communicate efficiently with all levels of staff, including attorneys, paralegals, and administrative personnel. - Perform administrative tasks such as calendar management and scheduling to support litigation processes. - Utilize legal software and Microsoft Office Suite to execute tasks efficiently. - Provide consistent support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced commercial litigation environment. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience providing administrative support in litigation practice. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing tools, and legal software applications. - Demonstrated experience with e-filing in both federal and state courts. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading abilities with a sharp attention to detail. - Familiarity with timekeeping software and document management systems. - Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. - Capability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced legal environment.
